I agree, pretty much. I'd say #3 is possible but not what people
would usually say.

I'd be unlikely to use any of those utterances, but if I absolutely
had to use one of those, I'd choose #3.

I'd use number 1 without a thought. If I didn't say it today before
leaving work I'd have said "I'm off now".

"I'm off now" is fine, but adding the word "home" would be weird.

Would you also find "I'm off to town" weird? Both feel absolutely normal
to me. How about the Scots "away"? "I'm away home" = "I'm off home".
