Fair enough, we get called "Austrian" often enough.
Not just that: there's those internet forms with pull-down menus for
"country", and I have chosen "Austrian" several times by accident. Of
course, when they ask for country of birth, it's even harder: I can
never find "England" and spend ages trying to find whether they are
offering "Britain", "Great Britain" or "UK".
Which is particularly irritating when the drop down box is about 10
items high and the list is several hundred items long and you've
carefully scrolled all the way down to the bottom only to find that "UK"
(which is far the commonest in my experience) isn't there.
For future reference: when the drop-down box appears, type the first letter of
the entry you're looking for...most browsers will immediately jump to the first
entry beginning with that letter, and you can scroll on from there....r
