If your definition is just "proactively killing anything" (well, I
can't see how you retroactively kill anything) then how do you
reconcile that with a request of absolutely no impurities at all?
The lioness proactively kills the antelope for its meat.
The vulture eats meat, but does not proactively kill the meat it
eats. It does not even indirectly encourage the killing of the
antelope, for example by using the economic power of the dollar.
"Retroactively" is not the only possibility when you are searching
for the converse of "proactively".
I do not understand why a vegan would refuse to eat a pheasant that
has been accidentally (and cleanly) killed in a collision with a car.
Probably because most vegans would throw up at the prospect. When
we've all finished out-logicing people out of their firmly-held stance
on whether or not they want to put bits of dead animals in their
mouths, maybe we could move on to suggestions for persuading folks to
change their religion or sexuality.
