Okay, just heard a profile of Sir Simon Rattle, where he talks about
adding vitamins to a garden, and of course in his part of the world
(Berlin, what did you expect ;-} ) that word is pronounced "vitt-a-
min", where as my part of the world has it as "vite-a-min".
That got me to wondering if St Vitus, vital signs, and the vitality of
youth have pondian differences.
What's your favorite pronounciations for these and other words with
lively origins?
P.S. "vitality" for me is kinda between "vitt" and "vite", but not
the other words.
