I define common as either happening often or existing in large numbers
or in many places.
Training has no plural because it's in plural already. Oh, you dislike
the noun 'researches' but it does exist and it's used especially in
BrE,,,

Well, "research" /can/ be used countably ibn standard English; but not
the way you used it. "Training" certainly is /not/ plural: it's
uncountable.
