Martin says "Me neither. Let's absquatulate" and they do. Which
pronunciation do you think is better?

I would go so far as to say that this word is unknown in UK English.
Indeed, searching indicates that it's one of those words which are
defined but not used (at least the first two pages of hits link to
pages discussing or defining the word, rather than using it in
sentences).

Therefore, its pronunciation is unknown to us, and we're likely to
take the prefix (ab-), find the common word following (-squat-) and
then recognise a reasonably common word ending (-ulate).

ab-skwot-you-late

But we don't know what it means.

What he said.

Not. You two have clearly led sheltered lives: time to get out here
where it's rough, tough, and slough. And it's like "squat".

Jinhyun, your views on onomatopoeia represent another one of your
Quixotically heroic attempts to derive the is of the English language
from the ought of your active imagination. We should, though, have a
word for what you describe.
