Because in Leftpondia we don't use that construction with anything
smaller than a country. Sam the Record Man was a Toronto institution,
not a Torontonian institution. They're California oranges, not
Californian oranges.
I noticed, in Orange County, California, a number of instances of
menus with the usage "Belgium Waffles". I remarked on this to a
friend, and he said he found it quite normal. I asked if he didn't
think it was equivalent to "France Fries", but he thought not.
