Wait a sec. Why is "Victorian boink" wrong, anyway? It's comparable
to "German boink" instead of "Germany boink" (both of which are far
too vague, but I'm barely awake). Do we have an established form for
boinking?
Not to my knowledge and I claim to be authoritative since I have both
attended and organised a few.
I understood your message perfectly at first reading and was plunged
into nostalgia - I have an old school friend who lives there who I
have never had the chance to visit.
I was born in Victoria, BC, so that was the first thing that popped
into my mind, along with wondering if it was going to include High Tea
at the Empress Hotel.
I also knew exactly what was meant, having been in Victoria, the Vancouver Island one, several times. I used to live north of Seattle, so visiting BC was no big deal.
