There are some old photographs I want to share with you related
to necklace tags and false facades. Maybe I can motivate you out
of your fixed wing fixed position aeroplane photos into a nudist
resort photoshoot! I love taking photographs of people, dressed
or undressed. So much expression can be captured in a person's
face, much like capturing a raccoon expression while she is swimming
in our toilet. I do enjoy still photography but my best enjoyment
is catching people in the "act" of whatever they are doing.
I will prep some photos for you and post an article later.
Here you are, Jitze. I have more for later.
These photographs are all reduced in size by 70% or more,
and compressed for fast web loading. Obviously much of
the original quality is lost in this process.
All of these are 35mm slide film, Kodachrome 64 outdoors
and Ektachrome 100 indoors. All but one are shot by me.
I am in one photograph. Easy to spot, on stage I always
stick out like a hammer hit sore thumb.
These photographs are all castoff pictures. None are good
enough for publishing. Each exhibits different problems we
and others have discussed. I selected these for reader interest
and to exemplify many of the problems with a photographer's eye,
along with problems such as selecting film speed, f-stop, shutter
speed and other settings. These pictures are, of course, before
digital and before most post-processing software.
Readers are advised all photographs contain nudity. These are
from different nudist (colony) resorts. I am not kidding, these
photographs are of nude people, self included. This will provide
a glimpse inside the world of nudism and present problems with
photography. This should be interesting for most, if you can
move your eyes past the subject models.
A quick note, nudist men are rarely photographed and almost all
photographers from the public, are men. These photos are taken
just before and during a public photoshoot at two different
nudist resorts.
This first photograph, which I did not shoot, is a castoff because
of poor framing. This picture needs to be wider to add border area
on both the right and the left. I am the one wearing a yellow tag
with number "1" on the front. The background facade is hand painted
murals erected in sections. Nice background, we are all on a South
Pacific island, on a sandy beach, walking around in high heel shoes.
Makes sense. Lots of fun meeting and working together to create a
stage theme. Amateurish, certainly, but a lot of fun!
This picture is the flip side of the *** picture contest we held
here many months back. Of interest, at a nudist resort, all pretenses
are stripped away. Men cannot brag about their junk, women cannot
lift and cleavage enhance their breasts; all is there for all to see!
You can tell who is a mother, tell who is bleached blond, tell what
is a natural hair color, even tell if a person enjoys a healthy diet
or does not eat enough; one girl is very skinny. There is much to
learn about people simply by looking at their bodies and how they
carry themselves, how they present themselves. I have a habit of
balling up my fist, or nearly so, without thought. This is telling.
Add body language and posture, you know much about a naked person.
Give close attention to the girl with long black hair, very white
skin, wearing a black choker and looking at herself.
First picture,

This next picture, no surprise who won the contest; she really
knows how to strut her stuff. If you can move your eyes past her,
you can see the borders between each of our hand painted backgrounds
to create a theme facade; South Pacific island. Two problems with
this photo rendering this picture a castoff.
Look at the plants in rusty cans behind her. One is dying and one
can has no plant at all! Amateurs! We should have left those cans
off the stage. Next event, no rusty cans! With today's software,
those cans are easy to remove. We did well on the murals, though!
The publishing worthy version of this photograph, the framing moves
in much closer, is vertical and the shot angle is moved to your left,
which completely removes those rusty dead plant cans.
Second photograph,

These beats Playboy, yes? We girls are real and natural,
not plastic fantastic air brushed Barbie Dolls.
This photograph is the type I enjoy shooting the most. This
is a cute. A girlfriend is moving a five-hundred pound granite
Grecian column. She is very strong! You will not see this in
gentlemen magazines! Look at the background stonework. Those
stones make an excellent background for pictures, as you will
see in my next picture.
Third picture,

Jitze, you shared a before and after series. Here is two
photos in one; before and after.
This is where that huge heavy Grecian column ended up! You can
see the stonework in the background from the previous picture.
This two set picture shows how software can be used to process
a picture, to clean and enhance a picture. We did not enjoy this
type of software years back.
Last picture:

Top photo:
Quite clear this redheaded girlfriend is sitting on cheesy astroturf.
This detracts from her beauty, severely. This picture is a little
bit over-exposed. There is a major defect which you would not notice
unless pointed out; her left hand. Her hand appears odd, appears
to be severed from her.
Bottom photo:
Software processing really cleans up this photograph. Her disembodied
left hand is removed, right off. Processing steps I performed are,
salt and pepper filter to remove litter from the astroturf
changing the border between the rocks and the astroturf
removal of large noticeable "folds" in the astroturf
a texture preserving smooth to make the astroturf look natural
extending the astroturf on the far right edge
adding an orange / red overall hue to the entire picture
deeper saturation of colors
gamma corrected to reduce over-exposure
By golly, now you can easily see her hair color is quite natural!
Still not good enough quality for professional publication but
quality is greatly enhanced making for a more enjoyable photograph.
If you did not know she is sitting on astroturf, you would think
her to be sitting on golf course putting tee turf!
She is stunningly beautiful, yes boys?
Digital photography and photo processing software, what a blessing
for a scatter brained amateur photographer like me!
Jitze, you ready to start shooting at nudist resorts? Loads of fun!
I have more pictures to share later.

like a man's bad fitting hairpiece.
