Last night, while teaching myself from the manual, I learned

Not at all unusual in digitals. A $150 point and shoot has that
feature.

I have quickly realized learning this digital camera is as
complicated as learning a new computer operating system.
Dang, I am only on chapter two and needing to go back to
review several times. These digital cameras are truly an
operating system, a very complicated system!

Go to the chapter on setting White Balance in the non-automatic modes.
It's probably the most important part of the manual for someone coming
off film.
