Hello everyone,Thanks so much for your remarks folks. I am still unconvinced which
I take my kid to a treatment every day and while, at the beginning,
he was putting up with these visits well he is becoming more and
more impatient with every visit. He starts wriggling and kicking
(even though it's not painful). What I wanted to say to my wife
when I called after one of these treatments was that Peter is
tolerating it worse and I couldn't find the rights words to express
it. Could I say that:
The kid takes it worse and worse
Is "take" the right word to mean "accept", "bear" or "put up with."
It doesn't sound good to me. Perhaps "stand" would fit in here.
Please share your clues.
Regards
Greg
is best for casual talk though. I will certainly give it a deeper
thought. Take care.
I'd go with: He's having a harder time with it at every visit.
Good idea. Moving, with apologies, into none-of-my-business territory,
perhaps it's undignified, or makes him feel singled out; maybe it's even
a bit frightening?
