It's been recommended before, I'm sure, but in your situation I'd
consider http://news.individual.net as a news service. The cost is 10
Euro/year, about $13 US. I'm not sure what that is in UK pounds.


It's about 7 squid. I've been using it since my ISP's own brand went tits up
and I find it first rate.
