OK, I got my info. from someone who lived in Germany till age 16, and
since then has lived in the states for 30-40 years. I guess his info
was outdated. He said no one who was not Jewish would have an Old
Testament name. I guess he was out of touch.
Wonder if German Christians (Protestant and R Catholic) have changed
on this also, or if it is only secular Germans who use such names as
David, Sarah, Jonah, etc. especially since you say there no name day
attached to them.
