How is your Saturday?
Does not take long for me to realize our intended skinny dipping,
tanning and enjoying champagne and strawberries, all is about to
turn to literal crap, "You know, that big pipe. Every time we flush
our toilet, water, poop and toilet paper comes out of the pipe."
Ah crap. I know the routine, a filthy dirty smelly slimy routine;
the sewage drain line is clogged at one of our rental homes.
The boy I scared shitless,

How about that, BLM? I have a photograph to back up
my wild unbelievable story.
BLM, many say every picture tells a story. Somewhat true but
usually this story is only known to those in a picture.
This little boy in this photograph of my raccoon haired husband,
this boy is adopted, as his younger brother and his older brother.
We refurbished this house, about three years back. We dumped
somewhere between fifteen grand to twenty grand to refurbish
this house to a condition of "like brand new." We renewed this
house specifically for a young couple who lives there.
During our months of works on this house, every two to three
days, the mother and father of the young wife, who now lives
there, her parents would drop by and virtually beg us to rent
to their daughter and her husband. Her mom is a teacher at a
faith based school. Her father, a hard working Cuban immigrant.
Her parents live just around a corner, about four or five homes
away. This lends well to a close family relationship.
How could we say "no" to a family so intent on being together,
so intent on living close together? In life, The Good always
is of greater importance than financial gain, always more
important than personal gain, notions sorely lost on the many.
This young couple, in their mid-twenties, cannot have children
of their own. Currently, they have adopted three kids, none of
whom are related. They have a baby, maybe two years old, this
boy in my picture, about five, and they enjoy the most difficult
of adoptions, a teenage boy, who is the most polite and most
respectful teenager I have encountered in decades.
This is a young couple just starting out in life. They are taking
on challenges almost none of us are willing to take. These two
are barely into their twenties and instantly have three kids,
ranging from baby to teenager. They sacrifice much evidenced
by their periodically running a little short on money, sometimes
late on rent, which we do not mind.
We have never raised their rent not will we raise their rent,
which is currently well below average market. We cannot, in
good conscience, raise the rent of a couple sacrificing so much
to afford betterment of children not their own.
I rag on the religious quite frequently. However, this couple is
living up to their Christian ideals; they walk the talk. These
two are truly following the footsteps of Jesus.
Every picture tells a story, but usage of language tells a story
no picture can ever tell. We look at my picture, read my humorous
story attached, learn of a story which does not tell a whole tale.
This photograph displays a two dimensional world, displays my funny
haired husband and a lily white little boy who drops toys into a
sewage line making for hard work and spent money to repair.
This picture cannot capture the depth of family, the depth of
family love and cannot capture the true Christian faith of
this young family, a family which serves to highlight what
is true faith in God and in family.
My photograph reminds me well of how hypocritical are the many.
Around here we read the many using language to masturbate an ego,
to degrade others, to bring discontent and misery. Around here we
read the many who are truly godless and without faith in themselves.
A quote of my own, "Words are powerful, dangerous, even fatal."
Around here, the many use language to cause harm, to garner falsely
perceived power over others. Around here, writers use words to bring
misery to all. There are exceptions, there are some nice people, but
their efforts at friendship are darkly overshadowed by the hateful.
I am pleased to learn you have taken to looking at my photographs.
My hope is and my belief is, you will read those photographs, read
the true deep story behind my photographs, rather than simply view
my photos with two-dimensional shallow vision, as do the many; each
photo I present contains very deep meaning, and this deep meaning
can be seen with clear true eyes.
A picture tells a story but a picture can never tell the stories
we tell, using language effectively and creatively, for The Good.
