Err...
LOL. Now I know why so many paragraphs in stuff I get sent end with an extra
space.
The paragraph symbol is also useful for detecting "learning by doing"
word-processor users. I am often asked to type an English translation over
the German original in order to preserve the formatting. Occasionally I get
a "60-page document from hell" in which elaborate alignment and special
effects of unbelievable complexity have been achieved by using the space
bar alone.
