The Grammer Genious <waupecong@xxxxxxxxx> had it:
I use Irfanview for one thing, and I use it all the time.
When I see a picture on the Internet that I want to send someone by
email, I
do a screenshot (alt/printscreen), click on Irfanview, paste the image
in,
crop out the part I want to send, name it "send.jpg", and attach it to
the
email I'm sending.
No imaging software is quicker or easier. And it's free.
Why don't you save the picture to your computer as the first step. I
can't believe that you would get a very good quality copy with a
screenshot.
The quality is the same as it was on the page I saw initially. Also, saving
the image to the computer is an unnecessary step. Also, I don't want these
images on my computer anyway (that's why I name each one "send.jpg",
replacing whatever was there before).
Can't you just right-click and select "copy" with your browser, then
pasting it into Irfan? Much easier than farting around with cropping
it out later.
Oh, and that procedure is no quicker than many other photo editors. I
found Irfan to be fairly slow loading.
