This is substantially correct, but I would remark that a wounded shark
in shark-infested waters will immediately be attacked by sharks.
This is the first I've heard of sharks being less than egregiously
super-abundant. Not that I follow these things specially.
IIRC there are many shark species that are threatened species. There's
talk of making the Great White a protected species in NZ waters; much as
it is in Au waters.
