Reminds me of an event in my life, so I'll post it.
Back in '63 or '64 my then wife was taking a night course in computer science. One night when she got home she said "We were studying programs that run the same way forwards and backwards, called ... uh .... uh...". I said "Palindromic programs." She was pretty startled, and asked how I knew that. I gave her a kind of serious look and said "Able was I ere I saw Elba".
She just looked at me blankly.
No great surprise that we're divorced...
