I didn't get the impression that Al was asking a question.

Perhaps I shouldn't try to guess, but I guess that Padre Nate is
trying to ape the apparently effortless humor of our R H Draney and
falls short of the mark. Hmmm, the alternative is not worth
contemplating, IMHO.
