An interesting variant invented by the NHS is to train the
medical students for four or five years in University and then
devise a system for allocating first medical jobs that imports
students/junior doctors from Eastern Europe at the same time as
failing to find a job for the graduating UK medical students.
This is so as to ensure 'equality of opportunity'.
