AUE: A Status Report

AUE is still dying.

The controversial but lively Era of Tony Cooper -- the Bronze Age of AUE,
if you will -- has given way to the Era of ... well, less talented people.

On December 31st, 2006, will AUE still exist? If so, will it be
distinguishable from the ghastly AEU, or even worse? I fear that only a
miracle would save AUE now (something like, say, the return of a Joe Manfre).
