However, to be pedantic, that's a preference only. Not only that, it's
so common that I would argue that it's not bad style at all. It might
be somewhat more informal than "quotation", but not in any way wrong.
It certainly, to me, doesn't have the same level of informality of
"invite".
She was incorrect to state that "quote" wasn't a noun. If you're going
to be pedantic, be right.
