I remember when that big campaign occurred in Quebec -- was it around
1990? -- but somehow I got the impression that it had relaxed. Does
anyone know if that policy is enforced as rigidly as it was then? Did
the French speakers "win," driving out many English speakers out of the
cities and cowing the others into compliance?
