Well, my initial response is, why is it necessary at all in a.u.e? That aside,
my point was, that the perception of the atom as a structure of whirling balls
in a space "filled" with photons, was so far from what I understand (very
little) of the quantum view of structures at that level, that the discussion was
as valuable as suggesting that apparently empty space in the cosmos is filled by
pink elephants.
