Do you say the g soft in "analogous"? Many people do, though I was

They do? Not that I have heard, but I'm here in Leftpondia.

I've heard it, but I've always thought of it as an error, and often an unintentional one (like when Elaine Benes said "Svenjali").

Having read the word before I ever heard it spoken, I pronounce "analogous" with a soft g -- in keeping with the "g" in "analogy." I didn't note that the "g" was followed by a different vowel until it was too late to change my style. No problem, though: I don't say the word very often.

The hard-g version sounds funny to me (with "funny" meaning "odd").
