I was talking to someone the other day about the use of "our" to show family
kinship, which occurs in Yorkshire, at least.
So siblings and cousins refer to each other as "our Mary, "our Bill", etc., and
to their parents as "our Dad" and our Mum. The parents also refer to the kids
as "our", but not to each other in that way. Mum refers to Dad when talking to
the children as "your Dad", and Dad to Mum vice versa.
Where I came from South of Huddersfield, in the no-man's land between true West
Riding and South Yorkshire accents this "our" was rendered as "yar" (pronounced
r-less).
