There are lots of words like that. Just the anatomical ones:

feat and feet
I and eye
hare and hair
hart and heart

Then there is the opposite problem: words which are spelt the same but
pronounced differently...

"I gave him the lead". Only the context can tell you whether I gave him
a dog leash or some metal!
