This sort of personification is common among computer programmers,
I think. Right now in the other window I'm trying to hack a spec file
to work around the problem that Configure, as configured, *wants* to
put the man pages in one place while brp-compress *has a different
idea* of where they should be.

And hey, I think it just worked... oops, no it didn't.
