If you want an exe to download and run, you need to inform the user
that he must choose "run from current location", but that's all - the
program will have to install itself in a temporary location so you
might want to include a clean-up routine. And, of course, it will
only execute on the type of machine it is compiled for.

Yes, JAlbum will do that amongst many other things.

Here, look at this - it took me about five minutes, including
selecting the images from my photo library.

The problem with creating an exe which shows all the photos is that
the user has to download all of it before it can be run on the local
PC, and he has to download all of it even if he's not interested in
some of the photos. With an html based album, the user can look at
the photos he wants and not fetch those he doesn't. And you can
offer a selection of quality levels. Beware of "full size image" on
the middle of the mid-sized photos as they link to the original
images which are 2 - 3 B each.

I haven't changed any of the settings from the ones I last used -
there are dozens of parameters which can be changed before generating
the html set.
