Ideally, a dual A/B setup would be best, with an A/B switch both
before
and after the DTA. I'm wondering if somebody knows of an all-in-one type
situtation. Basically a box with RF IN and RF OUT, and 2 more
connections for CONVERTER IN and CONVERTER OUT. By flipping a switch, it
would pass the RF through the DTA, or bypass it and go direct to the TV.

I haven't had a chance to do some detailed searching yet, so maybe they
are easy to find. I just though I'd post this before I forgot.

To clarify, I ALREADY have the DTA. I was mainly wondering if anyone had
seen a simple switch box instead of using TWO A/B switches. I don't want
a full cable box, as that is $$$. The DTA is free.

I understood what you wanted with the first post - the funtionality of 2 A/B
switches so you can avoid a splitter and the associated signal loss, if that loss
causes a problem. Did you try a splitter and see if the loss is an issue?

I'm not familiar with any recently made commercial 75 ohm switch boxes that will
have a selection of simple pass through and a loop for the DTA to be switched in.
My web seaching for such a device came up empty. Perhaps something like that was
made back in the day when cable boxes first appeared on the scene.

I think you may be stuck with 2 A/B switches if loss with a splitter is an issue.
The only consolation is there are remote control 75 ohm A/B switches which may make
life easier.

I've never seen these new DTAs. Does your DTA have its own remote and built in
tuner with an output on a single VHF analog channel? Or do they convert the output
to separate NTSC stations, allowing TV/VCR/DVD recorder analog tuner funtionality to
be preserved?
