It says Resolution: 1920 x 1080. I just hooked it to a
Nvidia Gforce 5500 on my desktop using a Dell
19" LCD as the first monitor. I plugged the TV into the card
using a
25' SVGA cable. If I set the resolution to 1920X1080 the TV
displays
a blank screen. Only when I turn the resolution down to the
next
lowest choice, 1680x1050 will the TV display the 2nd desktop.
I have installed the current drivers. Why doesn't the TV
display in
1920x1080?
Dual monitor cards will only display on both monitors using
the lowest rez monitor of the pair.
I'm using ATI x1300s from several years ago. I have a nine year
old 17" lcd monitor 1280x1024 via VGA and a 42" lcd 1920x1080
via DVI connected to a same age DELL mini-tower. Absolutely no
problem extending the desktop onto either monitor from the other
as primary. The resolution of each remains intact. ATI's
software/hardware allows for top or bottom alignment of screens.
A 1280 image will overflow the 1080 screen.
What's the source of your statement?
