Closet type A, I guess... bc I find it maddening.

Is this a recognized problem - like shutter lag in digital
cameras - that some makers are starting to address?

I find it not as quick as anaolog. There is a little less than a second
delay before the picture shows when changing channels on my D to A converter
box.
I expected this and I guess it is due to buffering of the data (doesn't the
codec requires a few frames of data before it can work on decoding?) plus
the normal signal tuning.
