I'll check out you all's suggestions.
BTW, My old amp is an MCS bought in 79.
It has a ton of inputs, filters, plus a midrange as well as the base and
trebble. Easy dubbing between inputs via the front switches and hookups
for 6 speakers including synthesized quad which makes any old vinyl
record sound great. Just don't make them like that at all anymore.
I do use it sometimes for movies over the big speakers, but not much
because of my living arrangement. (Kicks the ass of my
brother-in-law's expensive new surround system)
I also have yet to pay property taxes and insurance which will come
up to 1000 bucks and then there's Christmas, so I just don't have much
money. That is why the berhinger 20 dollar box was so interesing to
look into. I originaly was going to go to radio shak and get one of
their 50 dollar amps, but they don't make them anymore. Oh well.
BTW, it realy makes me laugh when I see "200 w amps". What they are
realy selling is a 33 watt per channel amp. (RMS)
Remember when all amps were rated at rms?
33 watts rms is about 50 watts "peak" and they are now rating them
"peak to peak" which makes it 100 watts per channel and of course they
add the channels together and call it a 200 watt amp .
Amazing how gullible the american consumer is. mes.
