If we hook up a Wii to our plasma set, is there anything we can do to
mitigate any kind of image retention/burn in other than not use it for
long periods of time? What constitutes "a long period of time"? Would
setting the brightness, color, etc on that input to lower/dimmer settings
help?

You hit on the two keys. Keep the settings down,
and don't use it for long periods of time. The
newer plasmas are less susceptible to burn in.
