OK, you're giving the TV an RF signal. So, if you've got sound, the signal
is coming through. You've got the on-screen menus, so the picture tube is
OK. I'm assuming that when you hooked the cable up to another TV, you meant
connected the same cable box to another TV, ruling out a problem with the
box.
So, that leaves some portion of the video processing circuitry not doing its
job. The RF signal is being processed OK but the video portion is being lost
at some point before where the menus are injected into the picture.
A quick perusal of Google suggests this is a common problem with this set.
I suggest finding a Zenith-authorized service center and determining if
they're familiar with the problem--it would save some diagnostic time
if they are.
