i was at a local Costco today
and saw these prices:

Sony BDP-S301 = $380
"normal" movie disc = $19
"recent or classic" disc = $27

didn't check Amazon prices/product, but...

will BD player prices come down by Xmas?

more important, will the disc prices
come down by Xmas?

If you want a cheap Blu Ray player either trick up a PC or pick up some
B-stock from eCost or the like.
