Even though I am able to get an outstanding analog TV signal, the
digital signal is even better, and so I'd like to transition to
off-the-air digital recording now rather than later. Does anyone
make a video recorder with dual ATSC tuners that allows you to record
one show while you watch another?

The TIVO2, as I understand it, has a capability to command the
channel setting of most cable boxes. Has anyone heard of plans by
anyone to sell a ATSC digital tuner that can be commanded by a
digital video recorder such as a TIVO?

I use ATSC only also and have never had cable or sat., and never will.
I switched to ATSC over 3 years ago and it was the best move I ever
made. At that time, there weren't any dual tuner ATSC recorders unless
you built your own with a PC. So that's what I did.

And all anyone has to do is go over to the Myth newsgroup to see what
kind of crap you put up with.

That's exactly right. Idiots like you are always coming in spouting crap.

It's not exactly a VCR, is it.

Why don't you build one and find out. Email me your phone number with a
time to call and I'll even help you as I have others. But don't waste my
time if all you want to do is bitch.
