digital broadcast TV). If your cable company is keeping the analog
channels for now, then you need to do nothing.

Where is this written?   I currently have Comcast analog cable service;
I contacted Comcast and was told that the only way my analog TV's would
be able to still work was to go out & buy a converter box.

Then they lied to you. All you will need is a cable box from capable of
putting out something that your old TV has, RF, Composite, S-Video, or
Component. They will be more than happy to rent you the box.:-)

I suspect the cable guy was telling about how to make it work with OTA
broadcast TV, and he is correct. If your only source is cable, then they
will provide the interface box, for a fee.

Would a converter box work? One of the one that you can buy with the
goverment coupons?
