No, it's not rocket science - rocket science is difficult but possible,
but predicting future prices is impossible. That won;t stop a bunch of
boneheads from trying, though.

The OP didn't ask us to predict the future price. He asked our opinion
on the pricing trends. Almost every one of us cited a similar trend
over recent history. Your hairsplitting and nitpicking for the sake of
being difficult has added nothing to the conversation.
