First of all, if I use S-Video or composite and "forget channel 4",
then on what channel do I watch the VCR?
Assume you use the S-Video connection and it goes to "Video 3" on the
TV. Then you watch the VCR on "Video 3". What else could it possibly
be? Seriously, the "modulated onto Ch3 or Ch4" is the absolute worst
quality signal you can get from your VCR to your TV. Heck, VCR tapes
and even reasonable analog TV stations should look better if you stop
using Ch3/Ch4. In order from worst to best:
RF modulated Ch3/4
Composite (yellow)
S-Video
Component (red/green/blue)
HDMI or DVI
