Re: Artifact on LG Screen

Have it professionally inspected and determine if the panel is defective. Then contact LG regarding replacment part cost and availability. Most LCD and Plasma Panels can not be disassembled to clean debris from them. Highly suspect there may be a fault in the display itself but it must be checked by a technicnal who has experience servicing the product.cheers

I have a 32-inch LG HD and I have found an aparently permanent 8 inch
streak on the screen, on the left side starting at the top. Any ideas

Apparently like your screen, your description is not clear enough to
make an assumption. Wags. Mouse pissed on it. Someone spit on it. Small
child with crayon of whatever color it is. Someone scratched the
plasmas glass. Some scratched the LCD mat. Someone tried to clean that
didn't know what they were doing. Etc.

Sorry, didn't make myself clear. It's not on the screen, but "within"
the screen, or the mat, or whatever you may call it. It is not on the
exterior where it could be wiped off. A 32-inch LCD.

I get a picture in my mind of a liquid that has dripped down from the top
where some tried to clean the screen and and probably sprayed it with
something. A real no-NO. Fortunately I haven't done that yet. But I also
don't know what to tell you other than disassen\mble it and see if you
can clean it. And to be honest, I don't know how difficult that would be
if it's even possible. Hopefully someone here will come back with a
solution to that. If that's the problem.
