Thanks for the replies from the L.A. area folks regarding channel 58. It's

I was going for 10 days and before I left I shut off the surge protector
to my Home Theater system. When I came back I can no longer receive
channel 58 (+.1,.2,3.,4).
Could the absence of that channel even be remotely connected to my
shutting off the power? Or might it be because channel 58 was a weak
signal to begin with (from my area) and it dropped below the minimum
strength to display at all.
I have tried having the TV search for new channels, but it comes up with
nothing new.
Thanks for any response.

There was an announcement on one of the PBS stations regarding running on
reduced power due to lightning strikes at the transmitter (I assume they
meant Mt. Wilson).
I'll bet it's related.

nice to know that their might be a problem at the station; that means there
is a chance I might get the channel again after all. For the other people,
not from the L.A. area, who responded to my message, I appreciated those
replies as well. Next time, I will try to be more explicit in describing my
situation.
