I tried to find the answers to some simple questions on the web butEveryone is a little different, but considering you are watching a 19"
did not get anything useful. So I am going to ask you, the experts.
We sit about 6 feet from the TV set straight in front of it. Another
popular viewing location is about 12 feet away at an approximate 45
degree angle.
My first question is what size LCD set should we get - 26/27" or 32".
My concern with the 32" set is pixelation - I do not want to see any
pixels at 6 feet viewing distance.
If 26/27" will provide the HDTV experience then it would be acceptable
based on lower price. We are watching a 19" CRT TV now and it works
for us with conventional aspect ratios. But it really sucks with HD
aspects so we need to upgrade.
now, then the smallest you'd want to maintain the same size as oyu have
now with 4:3 content is about 23" in a widescreen HDTV. I watch Tv in my
bedroom adn I tried all different sizes of regualr TV's from 13" to 25"
and found that 19-21" best suited me. When I bought an HDTV I got a 27"
which is perfect for my viewing habits as it equates to a 22" SD screen.
And the LCD Tv sits a foot farther away than the old tube TV did. if
you're going to be 12' away most of the time, I'd say definately get the
larger screen. I don't think 32" will be to big from 6'. Probably will be
7' anyway considering you're replacing a tube TV.
