Which begs the question, did anyone make ESPN aware of this problem and
do they care? Unless they correct the problem, ESPN stands to lose a
sizable portion of the HD viewing audience by not having access to their
HD programming for cable card users, and it might lead to some reduced
advertising revenue from sponsors because of the smaller number of
viewers.

It appears to be a money control issue on the part of ESPN and cable tv
providers. Not sure if satellite providers are dealing with this problem
as well.
