HDTV tunner

I have an older Toshiba 62" projection TV with no HD tunner. I am currently
using a RCA DTC100 for my HD chanels and it gives a great picture using
component cables. My DTC100 is about to die(keeps shutting down and I have
to wait 5-10 minutes to reset).

I see the new DVD recorders with a digital ATSC tunner and thought it would
do the job. The problem is they don't seem to send 1080i signals through
component cables only thru HDMI(that my TV doesn't support). I don't care
about the DVD upconversion all I want is the legal HDVT content in 1080i. Is
there a model that would do that. I live in Canada and don't have cable or
Sat. I have tried to order a Samsung HDTV tunner from Bestbuy and they keep
telling me they are out of stock(I also don't like the fact that the Samsung
only does ATSC and won't recieve NTSC channels).
