I am at the extreme end where I have 4 optical inputs on my receiver so
everything is 5.1 (well - except for the DVD-A/SACD playback which is 6
analog inputs).

I figured that. I'll look into the optical connection.
By the way, what is DVD-A/SACD and why so you need 6 analog inputs?
