Samsung 40" LCD TV - Disable speakers / Volume control

I just bought a Samsung 40" LCD TV model LN-T4066F and am trying to
use it with a Bose Media Center. The problem is, I have to use a
separate remote for the Bose system because the TV volume control is
disabled when I turn off the TV speakers. When I leave the speakers
on, the TV volume control does not adjust the volume on the Audio Out
jack going to the Bose system. This seems strange to me, because on my
Sharp Aquos LCD TV, when I turn off the internal speakers, I can still
adjust the volume with the TV remote, and it adjusts the volume on my
home stereo that is hooked up to it.
Right now I use my Comcast remote for the cable box, TV, and DVD
player, and I would like to not have to use a seperate Bose remote to
adjust the volume of the TV. Is there any way to do that with this
TV?
Thanks,
Ed
