Conected to my PC via a DVI to HDMI cable, from what I read this TV
would be exellent for this :0

You don't say *which* 46inch 1080P LCD. There are more than one
of these, from various makers.

The thing is I think other companys are going to release 1080p TVS and
probalby better and not to far off and you never know even maybe
cheaper.

Yup. They already have.

I'am looking for one with a better than 8ms response time and better
than 6000;1 contrast and a very good backlight as well. I know the new
ones will have OLED or LED backlights and from what i read that would
make the TV much better.

You won't like the result. The only way they get better than about
2000:1 or 3000:1 contrast is by varying the backlight, and that affects
other parts of the image. It is a feature that most would quickly want
to turn off.

However, 2000:1 is more than your eyes can really deal with, so it
is just fine at that.

So far, OLED is not there at all, and if it came out today, it would
be 10 - 15 years behind the current backlight technologies.

LET is only on some computer monitors -- I only found one online when
I looked a couple months ago. It was much thicker than CCFL backlight
units, used a lot more power, and ran hotter.

8ms response time is fast enough. In Australia the video image only
updates every 20 ms anyway, so 8ms is quite a bit shorter than that.
