My Samsung plasma documentation goes out of its way to mention (in
leastproblems.
three separate documents) that image burn-in is NOT covered by thewarranty.
There is no mention of anything related to individual pixel
WHAT IS AN IMAGE BURN IN?<snip>
THANKS
Light comes from phosphors on a plasma (and CRT) which darken as they
wear out. If you run 4:3 on your plasma a lot, the center will wear out
faster (darken) than the edges. The brighter you run it, the faster it
wears out. Get a nice flat 16:9 field and you'll see the boundaries
where 4:3 displays. Newer units claim to be better on this issue but
time will tell. Colors are real pretty when they're new though.
Happy New Year
