Well, so much for that idea of using a Linksys WGA11B gaming
adapter. After an hour of trying to get it to work and phone
time with Linksys, they finally said it won't work and to BUY
their B or G "Bridge" instead.

Sorry about that. I've got a Linksys WET11B bridge I'm not
using. I'd sell it for $25 + shipping if you want it.

How about this: I'll trade it to you straight-up for the WGA11B
that you can't get to work.

If anybody got one of these to work as a bridge with something
other than an Xbox or Playstation, please let me know how.

I've never used one of those, but all of the documentation I
could find on the "wireless gaming adapters" indicated that
they were just plain old bridges. For example this site says
"It does have other tricks up its sleeve, you can use the
device as a basic wireless access point, or for linking any
device with an Ethernet network connection to an existing
wireless network."

By pointing a web broswer at it, you should be able to get it
configured to talk to any access point.

I was about to by a "G" gaming adapter to use with my MythTV
DVR...

Also, the color laser is an HP 8550GN and the wireless 802.11b
JetDirect interface was too expensive an option so just using
a Cat5 cable to the wireless router. I don't believe HP had a
faster wireless option. Can I use another one of these bridges
on the printer?

Yes, a bridge should work fine with a printer as well.
